DENVER (KDVR) -- The city council approved several businesses to start operating new locations at Denver International Airport.Most of the restaurants and shops approved already have locations in other parts of the airport and will be adding more:Chick-fil-A in the C concourseCrú Food and Wine Bar in the B concourseDunkin' Donuts in the C concourseEinstein Bros. The Miami Marlins paid a special tribute to U.S. veterans by hosting the 8th Annual Veterans Thanksgiving Luncheon at LoanDepot Park this afternoon.Miami-Dade County police chiefs took on the role of servers, offering meals to over 300 military veterans and active-duty members.“We’re here today celebrating all the veterans in the area, commemorating, getting together, having some food, running into veterans we hadn’t seen in some years. I came to this the last two years in a row, and it’s always been wonderful,” said Veteran James Haritos. Students are set to head back to class Wednesday after teachers and school committee negotiators in Andover reached a deal to end the teachers’ five-day strike, officials said.Parties agreed on a new contract late Tuesday afternoon. Their deal came after union members voted to authorize a strike on Friday of last week. Plymouth family returns home after spending weeks stuck in Gaza

A family from Plymouth is finally home after they were stranded in Gaza for weeks due to the ongoing war between Israel and Hamas.The family landed at Logan Airport Tuesday afternoon and shared their story. “You don’t know if you’re going to make it or not,” said Hazem Shafai. The Shafai family embraced in emotional hugs as they stepped foot back in the United States. Speaking with reporters, Shafai said the family would probably still be in Gaza “if they didn’t put the effort into getting us out.”Shafai, his wife Sanaa and their three children had been visiting family in Gaza when the war between Israel and Hamas broke out in October. “We basically woke up around 6 o’clock to rockets and iron domes,” Hazem Shafai said. “We were right in the middle of it. A grim new report shows that Boston ranked dead last among the nation’s ten largest cities when it comes to available rental units as regional housing production has failed to keep pace with the lofty goals of policy makers.Released by the Boston Foundation on Tuesday, the newest Greater Boston Housing Report Card shows that housing construction has seriously fallen behind need projections laid out by the Metro Mayors Coalition in 2015. The Coalition of 15 large municipalities aimed to produce 185,000 housing units by 2030.
