HAZELWOOD, Mo. - Three people were arrested after a crash followed an attempted traffic stop Tuesday afternoon in Hazelwood. The crash happened around 3 p.m. Tuesday at the intersection of James S. McDonnell Boulevard and Phantom Drive, near Interstate 270. Drivers around that intersection might notice some delays during rush-hour commutes. Police tie 12-year-old girl to overnight crime spree The Hazelwood Police Department told FOX 2 that officers tried to pull over a driver a few blocks away, but the driver took and crashed at the intersection. Two men and one woman were taken into custody. Authorities also recovered two weapons. Police have not yet disclosed whether the crash might have led to significant injuries for anyone involved. Authorities with the Irvine Police Department are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man caught on surveillance cameras assaulting a woman. The sexual battery incident occurred on Saturday near the intersection of Scholarship and Graduate. Surveillance footage of the incident shows the man parking his vehicle as the victim walks down the sidewalk. He then turns his car around and drives in her direction before pulling over and exiting the vehicle. The suspect later trails the 56-year-old victim across the street and can be seen running up behind the woman, restraining her and groping her from behind.
