OAKLAND — Two teenage boys were wounded in a shooting Thursday after the car they were driving in was struck by bullets in a West Oakland neighborhood, authorities said.Officers responded to reports of ShotSpotter activity around 12:40 p.m. near 28th and Chestnut streets, not far from McClymonds High School’s athletic field.When officers arrived at the intersection of 28th and Myrtle streets, they found 12-year-old and 14-year-old boys suffering from gunshot wounds to their legs.Officers learned the two had been driving in the 3000 block of Chestnut Street when they heard bullets and realized they had been struck.The two managed to make to the intersection of 28th and Chestnut streets before their car’s two bullet-riddled rear tires went flat, and got out from there and walked to Myrtle Street.The pair were taken to a hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, and listed in stable condition, police said.At the scene Thursday afternoon, police worked t...Peru will allow extradition of Holloway disappearance suspect

The ages of the victims in the series of attacks range from 19 to 33.The first attack happened at 2:59 p.m. Sunday in the 4200 block of North Richmond Street. SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) -- Police officers combating San Francisco's fentanyl overdose crisis recently traced supplies flowing into the Tenderloin back to drug houses in Oakland, according to investigators.
