7 cattle killed in Cambridge tractor trailer rollover

CAMBRIDGE, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- A tractor trailer rollover in Cambridge resulted in the deaths of seven cattle that were being transported, according to the Cambridge-Greenwich Police Department. Police stated that the truck driver was not injured, but was cited for imprudent speed. Get the latest news, weather, sports and entertainment delivered right to your inbox! The rollover occurred on July 27 at 9 p.m., closing a portion of North Park Street for a time while the scene was being cleared. Police were assisted by the Cambridge Fire Department and Cambridge EMS. Additional assistance was provided by veterinarians from Hoof 'n Paw Veterinary Services, Battenkill Veterinary Bovine, and local cattle herders and haulers, who worked to save as many cattle as possible.Music coming to Glens Falls City Park on Sundays

RENSSELAER, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- A Rensselaer man has been indicted in connection with the death of a 3-year-old child. The Rensselaer County District Attorney's Office said Robert Fisher, 33, was indicted on second-degree murder and first-degree rape charges, both felonies. On July 7 around 7:20 a.m., the Rensselaer Police Department to the 1500 block of Broadway for a report of an unresponsive 3-year-old girl. The child was brought to Albany Medical Center where she was pronounced dead. Fisher was originally arrested on multiple charges including aggravated sexual abuse, assault, endangering the welfare of a child, obstructing governmental administration, resisting arrest, and criminal mischief after he allegedly tried to get access to the scene. Authorities have arrested a suspect allegedly involved in three separate shootings on a single street in the Montalvo area of Ventura. According to a release from the Ventura Police Department, the first shooting occurred at 11 p.m. in the 2300 block of Peacock Avenue on June 8, when the suspect fired several rounds into an unoccupied vehicle. Police said the second shooting took place over a month later on July 22 at 3:30 a.m. near the intersection of Peacock Avenue and Whippoorwill Street.“In this incident, a delivery driver was confronted by the suspect and as the victim was leaving the area, the suspect shot several times at the victim, striking his car as he left the location,” VPD said.
